Fortunately civil marriages (that means those celebrated outside a religious context) allow a great deal of flexibility.  There are many different ceremony styles and structures that can be adapted to suit you. You can choose a traditional ceremony; something more contemporary, or something which reflects your cultural background.  Maybe you want a ceremony written especially for you? Perhaps you’d like a particular reading, a poem or a favourite piece of music.? You may want to include friends and family, such as children from a previous relationship.  The choice is yours.
